The whole layout was based around a matchstick model of a train ferry built
by the owner as challenge by his eldest daughter. The ferry combined with
his love of trains and buses stemmed the construction of a new layout and
hence “The Port of Enn Transport Association” or PETA was formed.
The model is a fictitious transport museum based on a dockside location
where a combination of trains, buses, trolleybuses, aircraft and the train
ferry are all on display.
As with many layouts, PETA has been extended to now include a funicular
railway running up the hillside to a lighthouse.
